Wild Flowers

Today, I went hiking with my family. It was a beautiful day with the sun shining and an occasional wispy cloud moving across the sky. The mountains were beautiful with various shades of green and the clouds etching shadowy patterns across them.

As we hiked around, the beauty of the wildflowers was stunning. I wish I knew the names of the many flowers I saw today. There were flowers that looked like large wild daisies and very small delicate flowers that were orange with black centers. The hills and mountains were alive with the various colors and patterns.

The Chokecherries were also in blossom as was the Buckbrush and other bushes. All in all it made for a very enjoyable relaxing day. I hope that you also found something beautiful in you day.National Wildlife Federation Field Guide to Wildflowers of North America
