Today, upon a rock so high,
I sat to think of who am I?
Of God's many creations upon the earth,
then my thoughts turned to my Savior's birth.
I could see Bethlehem so clearly,
and I felt his love so dearly.
Then I saw the Savior in Gethsemane;
and with a heavy heart, I knew he suffered for me.
What tears of sorrow this caused me to shed,
I knew that for my many sins he bled.
As my soul sank into despair,
I remembered the Savior telling how this would repair.
The damage done by a wandering child,
again I thought of His love so mild.
And now I know who am I;
and of the Lord's redeeming plan made on high.
I know from whence I came,
and the crown I might claim.
Alas upon my knees I sank,
for my Savior's redeeming love I must thank.
A loving Heavenly Father who gave,
His only Begotten Son, His children to save.

I have often pondered the Atonement and what it has meant to me. I confess I don't know how Jesus was able to atone for the sins of all the world, but I know he did.
I have tried several times to express my feelings and appreciation for My Elder Brother Jesus and for what he did for me, but I am not able to express in words my feelings and gratitude. The English language does not have the words that can describe my love and gratitude for Him.
I hope the above poem brightens your day and that you have a beautiful day.
